Hi. I can tell you what to do, but you want to have the proper form otherwise it could result in injury. If you are just starting out, meeting with a personal trainer would be worth your time and money (and I would recommend one with a degree in exercise science/kinesiology or something similar and to be wary of those people who only received a personal training certification as it has been my experience their knowledge is sometimes limited when it comes to individual goals). Often times people feel they have to get in shape before they meet with a trainer or join a fitness program. If that is the case I encourage you to go because it provides greater motivation and support than when you are trying on your own.
Also, you can check out my Youtube channel for a variety of workouts. There a two beginner workouts there as well. And stay in touch, you’ve given me the thought to create a beginner weight routine video.
As far as the couch to 5k workout - that’s great, because it’s giving you structure and measurable goals, which is what a personal trainer could also provide, again, if you are someone who is just starting out and learning about fitness.
Good luck and stay in touch.
Aloha,
Megan
